More Pre Marital Sex in Rural Areas

Premarital sex is when there is an involvement of sexual intercourse without being married. Now, it is extremely debatable if it is morally correct or it is plain aberrance. That is something you have to question to your conscience. Or refer to others who you think know better or know more about it. What is discussed here is the fact that premarital sex is statistically more in rural areas then the towns. It is as shocking as it could get as we all know that the people of villages are more reserved, restrictive and orthodox than those in towns and developed cities. Then what is the reason?

It is not unknown to the Indians about ever presence of sexual relationships. Talk about kamasutra. The main reason is the absence of any parental authority to keep an eye. Or just ignorance as the parents in village concentrates more on earning money than telling their children of the wrong and right. Also the families in the poorer areas are joint. That means a lot of family members to take care of and a lot of kids. Required attention is not paid to the growing teenagers and the important information is not conveyed. Also the people in villages are ashamed of talking about these things. They are unable to tell their children that it is unsafe, both physically as well as mentally.

Not only in villages, but in towns too premarital sex is increasingly becoming a topic of common worry. The parents in cities are more engrossed in works that they don’t pay attention to the whereabouts of their children. Also the increasing trend of nuclear family, which involves absolutely no elderly guidance, can be blamed for the sharp rise in pre marital sex statistics. One more reason of the increase is the influence of growing westernised culture. Teenagers and early adults are so much into following exactly what Americans do that they forget their own cultural heritage.

Premarital sex is not bad. Not that there is anything entirely wrong with it. But then it also to be kept in mind that it is premarital sex that also promotes and encourages forced sex or very commonly known term for it – rape.
